About Us
Welcome to INSIDE TANZANIA, your trusted destination for news, information and in-depth reporting from Tanzania and around the world.
In the name of Almighty God, I extend my warm greetings to all our readers, listeners and viewers, wherever you are across the globe. It is my great pleasure to welcome you to INSIDE TANZANIA, our new digital media platform, bringing you news through our website, online television, YouTube channel and Instagram pages.
I’am Exuperius Kachenje, the founder and owner of INSIDE TANZANIA. I bring more than 28 years of experience in journalism, having served in various roles across different media organisations, from reporting and photography to editorial leadership and page design.
Throughout my career, I have been privileged to serve as Chief Photographer, Assistant Editor, News Editor, Sud Editor and Chief Sub Editor.. My professional experience spans news photography, sports journalism, politics, business, finance and economics, social affairs, health, the environment and good governance.
My journey in the media industry has taken me through several respected publications and broadcasting organisations in Tanzania. These include Mfanyakazi, where I worked as a reporter and photographer; Tafakari and Madaraka, where I served as a reporter and chief photographer; and Mwanasimba, a then sports newspaper, where I also worked as a reporter and chief photographer.
I subsequently worked for Mwanaspoti and Mwananchi, initially as a reporter before progressing to Sub Editor, Assistant Editor and Acting Chief Sub for Mwananchi Wikiendi. I later served as News Editor at Jambo Leo.
My experience also includes working with Tumaini Radio, where I was involved in overseeing Tumaini Letu newspaper, which I helped establish. I also worked as a presenter for Tumaini Radio and Television before becoming News Editor at Dira Television and Dira newspaper. I later served as News Editor at Tanzania Daima and Assistant Editor of Business Insider Tanzania, of which I was also a co-founder.
Today, I bring this wealth of experience to INSIDE TANZANIA, a digital news platform established to serve readers, listeners and viewers with credible, timely and relevant journalism.
OUR VISION: A NEW STANDARD IN TANZANIAN JOURNALISM
We understand that today’s audiences want more than headlines. They want accurate information, reliable sources, balanced reporting and meaningful stories that help them understand the issues shaping their lives and communities.
At INSIDE TANZANIA, we believe that journalism must do more than report events. It must inform the public, raise important questions, hold those in positions of responsibility to account and give communities a voice.

Building a credible news platform is a collective responsibility. At INSIDE TANZANIA, I am not alone in this undertaking. I work alongside a dedicated team of experienced journalists, editors and media professionals committed to producing quality journalism.
Among our key team members are Joseph Kimambo and Issa Miraji, whose expertise spans information technology, photography, video production and graphic design.
Together with our wider network of journalists across different regions of Tanzania, we are working to ensure that our audiences receive a diverse range of stories reflecting the realities, concerns, achievements and aspirations of Tanzanians.
